It has been another exciting few months for Harcourts with many new ventures, appointments and initiatives being announced.
One of the most exciting occurrences has been the launch of Harcourts in the USA through a joint venture with Altera Real Estate and the exciting new appointments that have come with it.
Aaron Hodson, formally the International Franchise Development Manager with Harcourts International, has been appointed to the role of CEO of Harcourts USA. I’m confident that Aaron will help to grow and develop our brand in the US. Co-founder of Altera Real Estate, Gary Thomas has been appointed as Chairman of the Harcourts USA joint venture, while joint co-founders of Altera, Dennis and Colleen Badagliacco have been named as partners. Leading American real estate professional, Rick De Luca has also been announced as a partner and shareholder in the Harcourts / Altera joint venture.

Last week Harcourts officially launched its operations in the US through a joint venture with Californian group, Altera Real Estate. At the official launch events held in both San Jose and Orange County, we were pleased to announce that leading American real estate trainer, Rick De Luca was to be a partner and shareholder in the US operations.
I am thrilled to have Rick on board in this role and am confident that his years of experience and depth of knowledge will serve our group well.
Rick’s real estate career began in 1976 and in his first year, he achieved an amazing 42 property sales. Rick then averaged nearly 200 property sales per year and has been honoured with numerous industry awards including Reno’s Salesman of the Year and Nevada’s Realtor of the Year.

Last week saw the official launch of Harcourts in the USA through our joint venture with California group, Altera Real Estate and I couldn’t be happier with how well our brand was received by our JV partners and their team.
The official launch events took place over two days in San Jose and Orange Country, and were attended by almost 400 people. These events gave our team a chance to introduce the Harcourts Way of conducting real estate business, as well as our company’s purpose, values, culture and business model, to our joint venture partners.
Both events were truly fantastic and the responses we received from our American partners were overwhelmingly positive. There was such an air of excitement with many commenting that Harcourts is a breath of fresh air in the uncertain US market.
