14 Groups Benefits from The Harcourts Foundation’s Latest Funding

14 Australian-based charities have received funding grants totaling $71,780 as part of the latest round of funding grants from The Harcourts Foundation.

Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green was pleased to announce that two charities in Victoria were granted a total of $22,756, two charities in Queensland received $5,460, three charities in Western Australia received a total of $12,000, two charities in New South Wales received a total of $11,564, one charity in Tasmania received $9,000 and four charities in South Australia were granted $11,000.

Amongst the grant recipients for the July to September 2011 quarter were Camp Quality, SIDS and Kids and the Little Heroes Foundation.

The money granted will provide the charitable organisations with the funds to carry out important research and development projects, purchase vital equipment for those in need, and run significant community projects and services.

Mr Green is thrilled that The Harcourts Foundation is able to provide much needed support to local community groups and charitable organisations.

“I’m so proud of The Harcourts Foundation and am so thankful that as an organisation we are able to help so many communities in need. Our local communities have supported us so well over the years and I’m thrilled that we are now in a position to give back to them,” Mr Green said.

Established in August 2008, The Harcourts Foundation aims to provide financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and has received close to $1.3 million in donations from Harcourts staff, offices and clients around Australia and New Zealand in its first three years of operation.

To date, all funds have been raised by dedicated Harcourts team members and clients in the form of fundraising events, auctions, workplace giving, individual donations or ‘off the top’ giving (a percentage calculated from each sales commission).

“The next round of grant applications has already begun, with the closing date being the 31st of December, 2011.

“I encourage all Australian charities to jump online at and download the grant application form. We look forward to funding as many applicants as possible,” Mr Green said.

Be sure to look out for grant application deadlines:

  • 1 October – 31 December 2011
  • 1 January – 31 March 2012
