Harcourts Conference Highly Commended at Australian Event Awards
September 3rd, 2010Real estate group, Harcourts was honoured with a Highly Commended mention in the category of Best Achievement in Entertainment for the Harcourts Conference Launch 2010 yesterday as the Australian Event Awards 2010 finalists were announced.
Harcourts were the only real estate organisation to receive a Highly Commended mention in the finalists’ announcement for the awards which will be hosted by the Australian Centre for Event Management in early October.
Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green is extremely proud of this achievement and believes that it is testament to the hard work and dedication of the company’s event management division.

Harcourts Clients Impressed by Service Levels
August 16th, 2010Recent survey results have shown that real estate company, Harcourts is gaining favour with sellers as sales consultants are offering more marketing options and highlighting the benefits of selling at auction.
The survey, which was completed by over 500 sellers and property purchasers in July 2010, showed significant positive increases in all service areas since July 2009.
Harcourts received an almost 300 per cent overall increase in repeat vendor business from 7 per cent of respondents having used the company more than once in 2009 to 19 per cent in 2010.
The Harcourts brand is set to keep on growing with an amazing 94 per cent of survey respondents indicating that they would recommend the company to their friends and family, with around 70 per cent indicating that they were ‘highly likely’ to recommend Harcourts.

The Harcourts Foundation Grants $62,200 to 12 Australian Charities
August 9th, 2010The Harcourts Foundation has recently approved funding grants for 12 Australian charities which has added up to a combined total of $62,200.
Established in August 2008, The Harcourts Foundation aims to provide financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and has received well over $685,000 in donations from Harcourts staff, offices and clients around Australia and New Zealand in its first two years of operation.
According to Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green, two charities in Queensland will receive a combined total of $19,000, five charities in South Australia will receive a total of $16,200, two charities in Western Australia will receive a total of $15,000, one charity in Victoria will receive a total of $8,000, and two New South Wales based charities will receive a total of $4,000.

Langfords Joins NAI Harcourts Brock Commercial
August 4th, 2010Growth for the NAI Harcourts Brock Commercial venture has already begun. SA-based firm, Langfords Hotel Brokers has decided to join the new entity.
“Langfords is a 50-year-old family firm that’s decided to merge with us on the basis that we are going into the national and international sphere,” said Brock Commercial’s Director, Terry Goodwin.
“We think we can make a better hotel and hospitality division and spread around Australia,” said Mr Goodwin.
Existing Langfords’ staff will be absorbed into the new venture with Managing Director John Langford playing a senior role in the division.
“It’s very much a commercial decision,” Mr Langford said.
“We’re combining the strengths of two pretty big organisations. We know that by doing so we’ll be able to offer a better range of services to our hotel clients.”
Mr Goodwin says the merger was just one of the paths to growth.

NAI Harcourts Launches in South Australia

Brock Commercial is set to spearhead a national commercial property network with Brock Real Estate’s residential partner, Harcourts and one of the world’s largest commercial real estate service providers, US-based NAI Global.
The new entity, NAI Harcourts Brock Commercial will launch next week as the first office of a planned national network to be rolled out during the remainder of 2010, with offices expected to open in Western Australia, Victoria, and Queensland over the next few months. Negotiations are also underway with potential partners in New South Wales, Tasmania, ACT and the Northern Territory.
NAI Harcourts – a joint venture between NAI Global, Harcourts International Limited and Brock Real Estate – was launched in New Zealand in July and will be the exclusive Australia New Zealand member of the NAI Global network, which comprises more than 5000 professionals in 325 offices in 57 countries responsible for $45 billion in property transactions annually.

Demand will continue to raise median house prices warns Brock Harcourts
April 16th, 2010As the median house price in South Australia peaks $400,000 and suburbs from Semaphore to Tea Tree Gully increase by 30 per cent, Brock Harcourts CEO Greg Moulton says the trend is likely to continue.
“Adelaide has always been a good steady investment,” explains Greg.
“Compared with other states, South Australia has been the best kept secret for a long time but the cat’s out of the bag and demand for South Australian property is high right at the minute.”
Whilst demand is high, supply is low. Brock Harcourts property listings have dropped 17.3 per cent year to date and 11 per cent this month alone.
“This means that with so many investors keen to add to their portfolio because rental vacancies are at their lowest and current yields are high, there is a lot of competition out in the market place between buyers and this will continue to increase average prices,” Greg said.

Top sales consultants announced at prestigious Harcourts awards
January 29th, 2010Harcourts Queensland last night announced the top sales consultants of the quarter (Oct-Dec 2009), and all three hail from South East Queensland.
Grant Stephens of the Sorrento/Benowa office on the Gold Coast was top consultant in October. He has become a business owner of this particular office and is hoping to continue his success this year.
Carmen Briggs of the Inner West won top consultant in November, achieving stellar results for the inner Brisbane area.
Jim Ryan of Coorparoo achieved the great honour of top consultant in December, blitzing sales in his area throughout the month.
Harcourts Queensland CEO Aaron Brooks said the awards ceremony was a grand display of the knowledge and years of experience Harcourts employees have.

Harcourts’ Charitable Foundation Reaches Two Significant Milestones
November 30th, 2009The Harcourts Foundation has just announced it has reached two very important milestones simultaneously; $400,000 in donations and 100 Harcourts offices signed up in support, with both milestones being achieved in the last month.
The Harcourts Foundation was set up just over a year ago, with the aim of providing financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and in that short time has already received over $400,000 in donations from various fundraising events, auctions and Harcourts office support across Australia and New Zealand.
Together with the funds donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bush Fire Appeal earlier this year, The Harcourts Foundation has donated over $265,000 to 41 charities in its first year of operation.
