Top sales consultants announced at prestigious Harcourts awards

January 29th, 2010

Harcourts Queensland last night announced the top sales consultants of the quarter (Oct-Dec 2009), and all three hail from South East Queensland.

Grant Stephens of the Sorrento/Benowa office on the Gold Coast was top consultant in October. He has become a business owner of this particular office and is hoping to continue his success this year.

Carmen Briggs of the Inner West won top consultant in November, achieving stellar results for the inner Brisbane area.

Jim Ryan of Coorparoo achieved the great honour of top consultant in December, blitzing sales in his area throughout the month.

Harcourts Queensland CEO Aaron Brooks said the awards ceremony was a grand display of the knowledge and years of experience Harcourts employees have.

“It was a fantastic Gold Coast success, with Grant achieving significant sales results for the month,” Mr Brooks said.

“What a pleasure it is to see members of the Harcourts family go from strength to strength.

“Grant recently…

Harcourts’ Charitable Foundation Reaches Two Significant Milestones

November 30th, 2009

The Harcourts Foundation has just announced it has reached two very important milestones simultaneously; $400,000 in donations and 100 Harcourts offices signed up in support, with both milestones being achieved in the last month.

The Harcourts Foundation was set up just over a year ago, with the aim of providing financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and in that short time has already received over $400,000 in donations from various fundraising events, auctions and Harcourts office support across Australia and New Zealand.

Together with the funds donated to the Red Cross Victorian Bush Fire Appeal earlier this year, The Harcourts Foundation has donated over $265,000 to 41 charities in its first year of operation.

In addition to the recent grants made, The Harcourts Foundation has welcomed the 100th Harcourts office to their ‘off the top’ giving support network.  These offices support The Harcourts Foundation by donating a set figure from commissions…

Investors Return to Australian and New Zealand Markets

November 18th, 2009

As first home buyers activity starts to decrease across Australia and New Zealand, investors are returning to the market strongly, according to Harcourts International’s Managing Director, Mike Green.

Mr Green said that over the course of the year most activity has been from first home buyers taking advantage of the First Home Owners boost (in Australia), as well as low interest rates and the best housing affordability in several years.

“The First Home Owners boost has begun to decrease and interest rates climb a little as the New Zealand and Australian economies  improve, and as a result of increased confidence across both Australia and New Zealand, we are seeing investors slowly returning to the market  with all price brackets  becoming active,” he said.

“The lower price brackets throughout Australia and New Zealand are now receiving enquiry from investors, which is good news for our rental market, as more opportunities should be provided for…

The new website was built using the very latest Web 2.0 tools, with large clear photos and easy-to-navigate functionality.

Harcourts Continues To Grow

November 6th, 2009

Despite the troubled economy over the past year and a half, high profile real estate organisation, Harcourts International, is continuing to grow throughout Australia and New Zealand, according to Managing Director of Harcourts International, Mike Green.

“On a local, national and international level, Harcourts has been keeping ahead of the challenges and maximising the opportunities presented by the 2008/2009 market by building on the strength of its people through the tools, support and training we provide them,” Mr Green said.

According to Mr Green, one of the main focuses for Harcourts International this year has been growing the strength, reach and size of its teams, together with the professional resources available to its people, and the organisation has succeeded in all three goals.

“The organisation has definitely grown in size, adding five new offices in Victoria, five in New Zealand, five in Queensland and six new offices in New South Wales over the…

Harcourts’ international expansion gaining momentum

October 2nd, 2009

Harcourts’ global expansion is gathering momentum, with growth in existing markets and considerable interest from other countries too, according to the Head of International Development for Harcourts International Aaron Hodson.

Mr Hodson says Harcourts, which is the largest real estate group in New Zealand and the fastest growing in Australia, is rapidly expanding in other existing markets, in discussion with potential franchise owners in both India and Brazil and continually receiving genuine enquiry from many other countries.

“In South Africa for example, where last year we entered into a joint venture with the high-profile Homenet group, Harcourts South Africa is now the fourth largest and fastest growing real estate group in Africa

“As well as progressively rebranding their existing offices they have also opened more than 20 new franchises since April and also just acquired a substantial stake in a new property management company, enabling Harcourts South Africa…
