As Head of International, Ms Sander is responsible for the operations and growth of Harcourts’ International Department and each country that the group currently conducts business in outside of Australasia, including the United States, South Africa, Indonesia and China.

As part of her busy role, Ms Sander travels extensively to each of the countries to ensure each team is functioning effectively, the culture is strong and they are utilising The Harcourts Way, including the business planning, systems, tools, training and marketing products that Harcourts provides to their teams globally

Since commencing with Harcourts five and a half years ago, Ms Sander has operated in a variety of roles, constantly developing and evolving within the company.

Tina began her time at Harcourts as Academy Administration and Reception support with Harcourts Queensland, then after 18 months, jumped at the chance to move into the role of Business Operations Manager.

After nearly two years as Business Operations Manager, Tina was then appointed as International Operations Manager for Harcourts in November 2009 before accepting the Head of International role in March 2012.

Mike Green, Harcourts International’s Managing Director, is confident that Ms Sander’s passion and expertise will help to drive the group’s international growth strategy.

Mr Wolff was presented with the Number One Sales Agent title at Harcourts USA’s recent awards function in California – the first event of its kind since Harcourts launched in the US in late 2010.

With an impressive real estate career spanning more than 30 years, Mr Wolff reached an incredible career milestone in 2011 by surpassing $1 billion in total career sales.

Mr Wolff is currently achieving sales volumes in excess of $100 million annually and consistently ranks among the top sales agents in the US.

As a long-serving agent, Mr Wolff does minimal advertising, and instead thrives on repeat and referral business from his long-time clients, completing most of this within three miles of his Monarch Beach office.

The first ever Harcourts USA Conference, which was held in Orange County, attracted over 200 attendees from throughout California.

Over the one-day event, delegates were treated to three exceptional keynote addresses from social media guru, Matthew Ferrara, real estate professional and Harcourts USA Partner, Rick De Luca, and real estate speaker and trainer, David Knox.

Mike Green, Harcourts International Managing Director, launched the event by welcoming attendees, reflecting on the challenges of 2011, and focusing on the year ahead.

“Our key focus for 2012 is all about going back to basics and ensuring a great client experience,” Mr Green said.

The event also provided the chance to launch Harcourts’ international theme for 2012 – One Team, Great By Choice.

“Great by choice is all about our mindset. There is only one thing that determines our success – it isn’t the market, interest rates or the world economy – it is how we think, what we believe, and the actions we take. Quite simply, our success is our choice,” Mr Green said during his launch speech.

The launch also featured world class singer, Katy Breznell, and a mock boxing match which saw Tony “The Marine” Harcourts knock out Geoff Lais, the current title holder.

The group’s annual awards dinner concluded the conference where Bob Wolff was named the Number One Agent for Harcourts USA and Harcourts Prime Properties Aliso Viejo was awarded Number One Sales Office.

Overall, Mr Green said the event was a great success.

“Our first Conference in the US was a fantastic success and was really embraced by our team. The vibe throughout Conference was outstanding and it was great to have the chance to celebrate the growing strength of our culture and brand in the US,” Mr Green said.

Based in Richmond in the Nelson/Tasman area, the office was established largely to service and support the Richmond residential and rural area of Tasman in the top of the South Island and the residential market in Nelson in 1990, this shortly after Harcourts Group Ltd introduced its franchise model in 1989.

Franklin Op den Buysch, the current manager has been a part of the franchise since the mid 1990’s and says it was the opportunity he was looking for.

“I had completed my professional qualifications through Massey University and wanted to put it into practice involving business ownership and management and the opportunity arose with when the business owner at the time wanted to sell”

Jo Clifford, Harcourts COO and Shareholder says it’s all about being present in the community and as the Harcourts franchisees turn twenty their commitment is still as strong as ever.

“The Harcourts family has four key values and they are all ultimately about people. It’s the relationships with our communities that we cherish the most and its communities like Richmond and Tasman that Franklin, Michael and the team have been a part of for twenty years and I’m sure twenty more.  They have done an outstanding job,” says Jo.

Richmond has been present in the community building houses for the Cancer Society with two houses built, auctioned and all proceeds going back to the Cancer Society as well as working to establish the Waverley Street Kindergarten in Richmond.

“We love to give back to the community and Karen Horner drove an initiative to work on a property as a fundraising exercise where the house was marketed and sold of which all proceeds went to an orphanage in Zimbabwe. Being able to give back makes all the hard times worth it,” says Franklin.

The Richmond office was opened in 1990 in partnership with Property Sales (Nelson) Real Estate Limited who turned twenty in 2010.

Harcourts’ COO Jo Clifford will present Franklin, Michael and the team with a certificate to recognise the achievements of the franchise this morning at the Richmond Office located at 261 Queen St.

With a career spanning nearly 17 years, Mr Cox has held several senior management positions with some of the real estate industry’s most significant organisations within Western Australia.

Throughout his career, Mr Cox has been responsible for the growth and development of several highly successful real estate organisations and is a proven expert in the areas of organisational and strategic development, project management, team development, strategic identification and implementation, and leadership.

Having led a group of nine residential sales and property management offices in his most recent position, Mr Cox is perfectly placed to lead Harcourts Western Australia and manage the group’s future growth and success.

Mr Cox is also a former semi-professional soccer player, having played in the United Kingdom for several years and is currently a member of the Quinns Soccer Club Committee in Western Australia.

In his role with Harcourts Western Australia, Mr Cox will be responsible for driving internal growth through the development of Harcourts’ existing business by coaching and mentoring its business owners as well as recruiting new talent and offices within the state.

The marketing of Harcourts’ current headquarters, located in Navigator Place in the Brisbane suburb of Hendra, will commence on Friday the 14^th of October through Phil Murray of Harcourts Clayfield and Sam Higgins of CBRE.

Construction of Harcourts’ new corporate head office, located in the new Trade Coast Central commercial precinct, is due to commence later this month and will be complete by June/July of 2012.

Harcourts’ new corporate headquarters will offer spacious work areas spread across two levels, and will include state of the art office facilities including two training rooms, a film studio and ’Google’ inspired areas for the team to break in.

Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green states that this move is necessary due to the continued growth of the Harcourts Group both internationally and within Queensland.

“This move is incredibly exciting and really highlights the growth that Harcourts has continued to experience over the years, even during uncertain economic times.

“Having operations now in 10 countries as well as growing to one of the top three real estate groups here in Queensland has meant we have continued to grow the team that support our business owners.

“Harcourts has continued to forge a strong presence in the real estate marketplace as many of our competitors have shrunk away.

“Our new corporate head office is a leading-edge facility that will foster the further growth and development of our group,” Mr Green said.

 Andrew was one of five finalists, commanding the judge’s attention, as his theme “magic” made his performance one of the standouts of the night.

 A previous Harcourts auction champ and runner up in this year’s REINZ Auction Championship, senior division, Andrew had been training hard, but so to had new Australasian Auction Champs winner Mark Sumich, also from New Zealand.

 “It really is the toughest competition an auctioneer can enter. In lockdown today I had all sorts of scenarios running through my head, especially how my number sequence would go.”

“I always go through the same routine in lockdown practising getting my script and numbers right and thought I did a good job. My hat however goes off to Mark who nailed his call,” says Andrew.

“This environment is quite different from an auction in someone’s back yard or in an auction room,” says Andrew. “You always have a theme but the pressure of a competition is never there. In competition, there is always pressure to nail your number sequences and engage with the bidders, not getting caught up in the rest of the audience.”

With over 1000 people watching, Andrew kept his style, theme and of course his timing, perfect. Harcourts National Auction Manager Robert Tulp, and previous REINZ Auction Champs runner-up knows too well how important this competition is.

“Having never missed a final for every competition he’s entered and having been a REINZ Auction Champs finalist for the past four years, this was a great experience for Andrew and he will be able to come back next year with this under his belt.”

Harcourts was represented by four auctioneers, having the largest contingent in this year’s Champs, with two Queenslanders, one South Australian auctioneer and runner- up Andrew, entered into the 16 strong field. Andrew was the only Harcourts auctioneer to make it into the finals.

With Andrew’s brother-in-law also an auctioneer, there’ll still be a creative script or two spoken as they pass the salt and pepper around the dinner table celebrating Northy’s achievement.

A previous Harcourts auction champ and runner up in this year’s REINZ Auction Championship, senior division, Andrew is in the same position as colleague and past Australasian Auction Champs winner Phil McGoldrick. Phil was runner up in the REINZ heats in 2009 and went on to bring the Australasian Auction Champ title home. Harcourts new National Auction Manager Robert Tulp and previous REINZ Auction Champs runner-up himself knows Andrew is in a good place going into the competition.

“Andrew’s never missed a final for every competition he’s entered and has been a REINZ Auction Champs finalist for the past four years.”

“This competition is very tough. The best of the best compete and you have to be at the top of your game the whole way through.”

“Last year’s winner Jason Andrew from Queensland didn’t even qualify this year, it’s that tough.”

Harcourts will be represented by four auctioneers having the largest contingent in this year’s champs with two Queenslanders, one South Australian auctioneer and New Zealand’s Andrew North entered into the 16 strong field.  Tuesday will see the heats with the finals being held on Wednesday 21st.

Robert Tulp, National Auction Manager

Robert Tulp has been a successful real estate agent over the past 20 years and a top Auctioneer in both Australia and New Zealand. He is a recipient of the REIWA Grand Master Salesman – their highest honour and been the top agent in Western Australia for their biggest group – First National.

More recently he has been a Business Owner, Manager and now award winning Auctioneer. In 2010 he won the Harcourts NZ Auctioneer title; was a runner up at the National Institute Auction Competition and a finalist in the Australasian Auction champs. Early this year Robert won the Inaugural ‘Bledisloe’ Auction Cup as the top Harcourts Auctioneer in Australasia.

Robert has been working for Harcourts franchise group Cooper and Co on Auckland’s North Shore for the past few years as an auctioneer and trainer and has now taken the step into the corporate arena by taking on the National Auction Manager’s role.

Robert commenced the role as National Auction Manager located at the Harcourts Auckland Regional Office on Monday 12th September.
