Top realtor appointed to lead NAI Harcourts in NZ

Successful real estate professional Richard Laery has been appointed to the recently created role of General Manager of NAI Harcourts in New Zealand, having been recruited from another brand.

Mr Laery (pictured right) has 13 years’ experience in the real estate industry where he has an impressive track record, primarily in commercial and industrial property sales and leasing.  In addition he has strong management skills, a wealth of experience and an extensive network of contacts.

Most recently a senior commercial and industrial specialist with Bayleys Manukau, Mr Laery has also gained experience in residential and rural sales along with project marketing and was responsible for helping to establish Bayleys Fiji office.

22 groups benefit from The Harcourts Foundation’s latest funding

Twenty two charitable organisations from around New Zealand have received funding in the latest round of grants from The Harcourts Foundation, a charity set up by the Harcourts real estate group to provide support that helps, grows and enriches our communities.

The recipients, who operate in a variety of locations and sectors, were recently awarded grants totalling approximately $36,000 – having each made successful applications to The Harcourts Foundation in New Zealand earlier this year.

These grants together with a number made in Australia recently take the total amount donated since the Foundation was established in mid-2008 to more than $570,000, with over 140 charities in Australasia benefiting so far.

The latest recipients of grants from The Harcourts Foundation in New Zealand were (in alphabetical order):

  • Amberley School, Canterbury – $708.75 to purchase a library and resource trolley for the school’s new learning centre;

NAI Harcourts launches exciting marketing initiative

NAI Harcourts, a new entrant to the Australasian commercial property market this year, has launched an exciting new marketing initiative in New Zealand – the Key Assets portfolio and some supporting marketing packages.

Aimed at showcasing commercial, industrial and retail properties for sale or lease along with businesses on the market, Key Assets portfolio will be distributed within New Zealand and internationally through the extensive Harcourts network and be supported by associated advertising to provide the widest possible exposure for the most competitive investment.

Harcourts Launches eCampaign for iPad

International real estate group, Harcourts have added to their already impressive technology suite with the launch of their latest innovation, the eCampaign application for the iPad.

The application, which was officially launched earlier this week, is designed to be used by Harcourts Sales Consultants and their clients to review current and recently sold comparable properties, design in-depth personalised marketing campaigns, and view a selection of videos.

eCampaign can present and save multiple personalised property presentations while automatically synchronising photos, property details and maps from the company’s internal technology suite, Harcourts One.

The application includes an interactive calendar which allows agents to create and manage their marketing schedules, as well as the ability to view all surrounding comparable property listings on the market using Google Maps.

eCampaign also allows the Sales Consultant and their client to view, select and design tailored marketing plans from a selection…

Harcourts USA appointments announced, with New Zealander as CEO

Harcourts, originally established in New Zealand and most recently launched in the United States of America, has annoucned a number of key appointments in America following its joint venture with California-based Altera Real Estate.

New Zealander Aaron Hodson, formerly the International Franchise Development Manager of Harcourts International, has been appointed as Harcourts USA Chief Executive Officer.

Originally from Northland, the award-winning realtor (pictured right) will oversee the growth and development of the Harcourts brand in America, as well as managing the day-to-day operations of the business there.

Meanwhile American real estate industry veteran Gary Thomas, the co-founder of Altera Real Estate, has been appointed as Chairman of the Harcourts USA joint venture.  Since starting his real estate career in 1976, Mr Thomas has become one of the most successful and highly regarded real estate professionals in America.
