Harcourts achieves new property management milestone

Posted in: New Zealand, Property Management

Harcourts has reached a significant new property management milestone, achieving the target of having more than 11,000 residential properties in New Zealand under Harcourts’ management.

East Auckland-based Beachlands Real Estate Ltd has  joined the Harcourts group, making the move public today by rebranding their office.

Formerly part of another international real estate group, the company is now in the process of introducing the Harcourts brand and the group’s wide range of world-class systems and products and sharing the good news with their clients and suppliers.

Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson says he is thrilled to welcome Beachlands Real Estate’s owner Peter Brinkley and his team to the Harcourts group.

“It’s a great endorsement that Peter, who has a real estate career spanning more than 35 years, and his son Elliot, who manages the business, chose to join Harcourts and particularly exciting to have a permanent presence in that part of the country for the first time in our group’s 121-year history,” he says.

“We look forward to working with them to grow Harcourts’ brand awareness…

Harcourts offers one-of-a-kind personal service for property buyers and sellers

Posted in: Australia, International, New Zealand, Residential

Harcourts has developed a unique ‘Infolink’ online service that in just 18 months has generated numerous buyer referrals, more than 400 property appraisals and seen those converted  into nearly 50 sales and a further 64 listings.

Infolink is an online service which offers the website user instant access to property market information or personalised service, and  then facilitates a referral to their nearest Harcourts office for property selling or buying.

This service is particularly useful for overseas as well as inter-state investors who are looking to buy or sell in the Australasian market and may not be familiar with market conditions or are unable to personally view the area in which they want to buy.

Harcourts International’s Managing Director, Mike Green said the concept was developed to provide a fast and reliable service to potential customers.

“Once we receive an enquiry, the individual is instantly met with a personal response…

Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson is predicting “solidity” in the New Zealand residential real estate market next year and improvement in both the coastal and rural segments after a varied year in 2009.

“While compared to the dark days of 2008 there has been significant improvement in the residential real estate market in the main centres this year, in other locations and segments of the market things have continued to be challenging,” Mr Thomson says.

“In the major metropolitan centres there has been a marked increase in the volume of house sales and prices have been positively impacted in recent months by the imbalance between supply and demand, but overall sales numbers in most locations remain below historic averages.

“For example in provincial centres…

Five worthy groups have benefited from the latest round of quarterly grants from The Harcourts Foundation in New Zealand, Harcourts New Zealand CEO Bryan Thomson announced today.

The recipients – a volunteer fire police unit, an intermediate school, a primary school, a trust promoting healthy living and cancer prevention and raising funds for cancer research and a youth- focused social services provider – were recently awarded grants totalling $20,500 having made successful applications to The Harcourts Foundation, which as Mr Thomson explains was established by Harcourts last year in New Zealand and Australia to provide financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities.

With these grants together with a number made in Australia recently and grants made in both countries earlier this year The Harcourts Foundation has donated more than $265,000 to 41 charities to date.
