Harcourts NSW Displays Generous Spirit
Last weekend, a team of Harcourts New South Wales and Dougmal Harcourts real estate agents completed The Sydney Bridge Run in order to raise much needed funds for charity.
The Sydney Bridge run is a nine kilometre run taking in some of Sydney’s iconic sights including the Harbour Bridge, Mrs Macquarie’s Chair, Circular Quay, and the Royal Botanic Gardens before finishing at the Sydney Opera House. Over 35,000 people participated in this year’s Sydney running festival.
The Harcourts New South Wales team raised nearly $2,000 by hosting a charity auction at the group’s Quarterly Awards ceremony and other fundraising activities held over the last two of months.
These funds will be donated to The Harcourts Foundation which was established in 2008 with the purpose of providing support that helps, grows and enriches our communities.

Harcourts NSW Announce New CEO
International real estate group, Harcourts is pleased to announce the appointment of Sadhana Smiles in the role of Chief Executive Officer of Harcourts New South Wales following the decision of current CEO, Chris Stephandellis to relinquish his position.

Harcourts NSW Celebrates at Superstars Event
The stars of real estate group, Harcourts came out to shine last week for the company’s New South Wales state conference, Superstars 2011.
Held at the St George Motor Boat Club in San Souci, the half-day event attracted almost 100 Harcourts delegates from across New South Wales.
Harcourts New South Wales Chief Executive Officer, Chris Stephandellis was proud of the turnout and of the event overall.
“It was fantastic to see so many people from the Harcourts New South Wales team in attendance and to listen to some fantastic speakers,” said Mr Stephandellis.

Moving to the Country?
The New South Wales government has announced a $7,000 Regional Relocation Home Buyers Grant, commencing 1st July 2011. The scheme will provide applicants with a one-off payment of $7,000 to assist them with the cost of relocating from their metropolitan home to a regional home (New South Wales Office of State Revenue, 2011).
In order to qualify for this grant the property purchased needs to be outside the Sydney metropolitan area. Metropolitan areas mean the local government areas including; Sydney Metropolitan, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Gosford, Wyong, Wollondilly, Wollongong and Newcastle.
To be eligible for the $7,000 Regional Relocation Grant, the following criteria apply:
- All applicants must be natural persons and must not purchase the regional home in his or her capacity as a trustee
- At least one applicant must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident as at the completion date of the regional home purchase

As of May this year, The Harcourts Foundation has raised over $1.2 million for charities across Australia and New Zealand.
