Grant Stephens from Harcourts Sorrento-Benowa Prestige was awarded fourth place in Harcourts Queensland’s Top Residential Sales Consultant category. Mr Stephens also picked up the Gold Coast Bulletin ‘top agent’ Award.

Mr Stephens, who is the business owner of Harcourts Sorrento-Benowa Prestige along with wife Cassandra, has been a sales consultant for many years, consistently achieving awards at the quarterly and annual awards functions at Harcourts each year.

Another highlight was winner Joseph Codianni from Harcourts Commercial Gold Coast. He was awarded Top Commercial Sales Consultant for the third year in a row.

Mr Codianni is the business owner of Harcourts Commercial Gold Coast and has been in the industry for many years. His vast knowledge and personal experience precedes him from small business, commercial investment to industrial applications.

Other prestigious awards winners from the Gold Coast were announced, including second place recipient for Top Commercial Sales Consultant, Graeme Pettit from Harcourts Surfers Paradise, Leanne Burkhardt from Harcourts Mudgeeraba who came in tenth place for Top Sales Consultant, and seventh & tenth place recipient for Top Office, Harcourts Robina – Varsity and Harcourts Mermaid Beach respectively.

Harcourts Queensland CEO, Aaron Brooks says that the growing presence of Harcourts on the Gold Coast shows that they provide an efficient system and professional support to the offices and clients.

“All three new business owners are leaders in the Gold Coast real estate industry, so clients can benefit from their depth of knowledge and local experience’.  Mr Brooks said.

Ally Gourlay is the new business owner of the Harcourts Burleigh office, and has more than seven years’ experience in the industry.

“Something has been missing in the Burleigh marketplace, and I am here to fill that gap. Harcourts is here to deliver top quality service whilst maintaining a ‘Burleigh’, laid back attitude,” Ms Gourlay said.

With a number of years experience at Harcourts, Grant Stephens has made the move from agent to business owner and opened the Sorrento/Benowa office.  With two decades of experience in real estate, and 15 years in the hotel management industry Grant Stephens and his team are well-positioned to deliver professional service.

“I am excited about our new Harcourts office. We aim to find our clients value for money. I hope to see more Harcourts offices opening in the area within the next few years,” Mr. Stephens said.

With a strong presence on the southern Gold Coast for nearly twenty years, Rose Elliston has recently opened Harcourts Tugun, and is continuing to be a major contributor to the local  community fabric.

“I have always worked on the Gold Coast, and am very excited about our new office. Tugun is a great suburb, and Harcourts will bring our clients fantastic opportunities and great customer service,” Ms Elliston said.

Grant Stephens of the Sorrento/Benowa office on the Gold Coast was top consultant in October. He has become a business owner of this particular office and is hoping to continue his success this year.

Carmen Briggs of the Inner West won top consultant in November, achieving stellar results for the inner Brisbane area.

Jim Ryan of Coorparoo achieved the great honour of top consultant in December, blitzing sales in his area throughout the month.

Harcourts Queensland CEO Aaron Brooks said the awards ceremony was a grand display of the knowledge and years of experience Harcourts employees have.

“It was a fantastic Gold Coast success, with Grant achieving significant sales results for the month,” Mr Brooks said.

The event, that took place on Tuesday 21 April at the Gold Coast Arts Centre, engaged more than 600 Gold Coast real estate agents over two sessions on the day, and examined better professional standards within the local industry.

Mr Allen is the leading prestige agent in the 4218 postcode and 44.73 percent of his personal sales over a five year period in both high and low markets were recorded “record sales” at the point of settlement in that period.

He holds the record sale in 2008 for a residential home in Broadbeach Waters, while the Harcourts Broadbeach/ Mermaid offices have recorded in excess of 8 million dollars in seller paid advertising, as well as achieving numerous record sales under the 4218 postcode for both Mermaid Waters and Broadbeach Waters. He is also the record holder of unit sales in Mermaid Waters.

According to Mr Allen, every seller has the right to know about the options of selling in the market place, and he believes auction achieves the highest level of exposure in the quickest time frame possible.

“Almost 80 per cent of property sold under auction conditions up to 14 days after auction day, and 59.21 per cent of the buyers that purchased came from initial enquiry from the Gold Coast Bulletin Real Estate Lift Out,” he said.

Mr Allen said he was honoured to be one of only two Sales Consultants selected to address the Seminar.

“I am thankful to have been recognised after a decade in the industry and invited to speak amongst our industry’s elite and those that aspire to be better practice agents. I hope that the seminar will bring a revised standard of practice to the Gold Coast for each and every seller in the market place and encourage better practice through their chosen agent,” he said.
