Harcourts Conference Highly Commended at Australian Event Awards
September 3rd, 2010Real estate group, Harcourts was honoured with a Highly Commended mention in the category of Best Achievement in Entertainment for the Harcourts Conference Launch 2010 yesterday as the Australian Event Awards 2010 finalists were announced.
Harcourts were the only real estate organisation to receive a Highly Commended mention in the finalists’ announcement for the awards which will be hosted by the Australian Centre for Event Management in early October.
Harcourts International Managing Director, Mike Green is extremely proud of this achievement and believes that it is testament to the hard work and dedication of the company’s event management division.

Harcourts Clients Impressed by Service Levels
August 16th, 2010Recent survey results have shown that real estate company, Harcourts is gaining favour with sellers as sales consultants are offering more marketing options and highlighting the benefits of selling at auction.
The survey, which was completed by over 500 sellers and property purchasers in July 2010, showed significant positive increases in all service areas since July 2009.
Harcourts received an almost 300 per cent overall increase in repeat vendor business from 7 per cent of respondents having used the company more than once in 2009 to 19 per cent in 2010.
The Harcourts brand is set to keep on growing with an amazing 94 per cent of survey respondents indicating that they would recommend the company to their friends and family, with around 70 per cent indicating that they were ‘highly likely’ to recommend Harcourts.

The Harcourts Foundation reaches $650,000 milestone!
June 27th, 2010Managing Director Mike Green announced at the recent Harcourts Conference that The Harcourts Foundation surpassed $650,000 in donations since its launch just 18 months ago.
Mr Green said The Harcourts Foundation has more than 140 Harcourts offices signed up to the “donation per sale” scheme.
“We set up The Harcourts Foundation with the aim of providing financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and it has only really taken just over 18 months for us to reach such the significant milestone of well over half a million dollars,” he said.
“At the latest Harcourts Conference, among the announcement of Harcourts’ imminent expansion into the US, it was fantastic to be able to announce this equally significant milestone.
“To have successfully raised $600,000 in just 18 months is a massive achievement, and I hope to see this figure soar over the next six months.”

Harcourts surpasses $20b sales and gets set for USA
June 1st, 2010The growing Harcourts real estate group has achieved two exciting milestones – surpassing $20 billion in written sales in the past financial year and entering into a new joint venture that will see the launch of Harcourts in the United States of America, Harcourts International Managing Director Mike Green has announced.
In his opening address of the annual Harcourts conferences in New Zealand and Australia, Mr Green announced the Harcourts group, which now includes more than 630 offices in nine countries along with over 4000 sales consultants and a growing property management team, had completed sales totalling $20.4 billion in the year ended 31 March 2010.
He also announced the next major international step for Harcourts – a joint venture with a 23 office, 700 sales person Californian-based real estate group.

Mao’s Last Dancer closes Harcourts’ annual Conference
May 28th, 2010The author of best-selling autobiography Mao’s Last Dancer, Li Cunxin, was the final key-note speaker at the 2010 Harcourts Australia Conference on the Gold Coast this week.
At the Conference, which was held at Conrad Jupiters in Surfers Paradise, Mr Cunxin shared the inspirational life story he recounted in his award-winning memoir Mao’s Last Dancer.
This novel was the basis for a film of the same name, which screened here earlier this year and is due out on DVD in July.
Now a stockbroker in Australia and the recent recipient of the Shepherd Centre’s 2009 Australian Father of the Year Award, Mr Cunxin was born into bitter poverty in rural China.
At 11 years of age, he was chosen to go to Madame Mao’s Beijing Dance Academy to study ballet and serve in Chairman Mao’s revolution and so his remarkable journey began.

May 12th, 2010Managing Director Mike Green has announced as at the end of the January to March quarter of 2010, The Harcourts Foundation has raised a massive $560,000 in donations since its launch just 18 months earlier.
Managing Director Mike Green said The Harcourts Foundation has more than 120 Harcourts offices signed up to the “donation per sale” scheme.
“We set up The Harcourts Foundation with the aim of providing financial support that helps, grows and enriches local communities, and it has only really taken just over 18 months for us to reach such the significant milestone of well over half a million dollars,” he said.
“These funds are raised by our dedicated Harcourts team members in Australia and New Zealand either from various fundraising events, auctions, workplace giving, individual donations or ‘off the top’ giving (calculated from each sale commission),” he said.

The Harcourts Foundation gives $7,500 to Fremantle Hospital Medical Research
May 11th, 2010The Harcourts Foundation has granted $7,500 to the Fremantle Hospital Medical Research Fund off the back of its Jan-Mar 2010 application round.
Harcourts Managing Director Mike Green said each quarter The Harcourts Foundation gathers grant applications from around the country to award at the end of each quarter.
“In Western Australia, The Fremantle Hospital’s application for money towards new equipment to help prepare and analyse genetic material seemed like a very worthy cause,” Mr Green said.
The most accurate PCR detector in the world is an Australian-made instrument called the Rotor-Gene. The hospital has used this instrument for many years to analyse DNA and RNA in hemochromatosis, a common iron overload disease; bowel disease; colon cancer, and in elderly patients with ulcers that don’t heal.

The Harcourts Foundation supports the Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club
May 11th, 2010The Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club now has a new inflatable rescue boat thanks to The Harcourts Foundation, which granted $5,500 at the end of the Jan-Mar 2010 application round.
Rescue boats are critical pieces of equipment for the Club to perform rescues and provide much needed first aid services quickly and efficiently to a victim.

“In Queensland, the Agnes Water Surf Life Saving Club’s application for a new rescue boat seemed like a great cause, and we were happy to donate the full grant request of $5,500 to them.”
