Harcourts Auctioneer wins Australasian champs
September 3rd, 2009Harcourts auctioneer Phil McGoldrick yesterday won the prestigious Australasian Real Estate Institutes’ Auctioneering Championships, achieving the pinnacle of success in his professional field.
In the real estate industry for 24 years including 10 as an auctioneer, Mr McGoldrick has represented New Zealand in the international championship every year since 2006 when he won the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand’s national competition and went on to become the first Kiwi to reach the finals of the Australasian championship.
Runner up in the New Zealand competition for the past three years and a finalist in the trans-Tasman competition twice before, this year Harcourts New Zealand’s’ National Auction manager achieved his best result yet – winning the 2009 Australasian title ahead of two-time winner and fellow New Zealander Mark Sumich and two Australian auctioneers who also made the final.
