Home buyers, investors and renters are coming to the Brisbane suburb of Kelvin Grove in droves, and Bridget Gabites, Business Owner of Harcourts Urban, suggests that this influx is due in no small part to the array of fresh produce markets in the area.
Ms Gabites says that the local markets are a huge drawcard for buyers and renters alike.
“Residents and new buyers love what the markets bring to Kelvin Grove. There is nothing quite like buying your own produce directly from the farmer – the food is such high quality and usually lasts much longer than that brought from supermarkets,” Ms Gabites said.
“The markets also offer a great opportunity for locals to catch up with their friends over coffee and great food. There is always live music and the atmosphere is fantastic,” Ms Gabites continued.
The Kelvin Grove Village Markets are held every Saturday from 6:30am until 1pm, and Ms Gabites and her team often hold open homes whilst the markets are on.
“New buyers to the area just love it as they get to feel the buzz of the local community.
“We also have the Northey Street Organic Markets in Herston every Sunday, so we are simply spoilt for choice in our area,” Ms Gabites said.
“The markets are definitely helping buyers to choose Kelvin Grove over other suburbs in the area. It is a really important feature that complements our modern, urban lifestyles well,” Ms Gabites added.
